Waste Water Treatment Facilities Project for the Village of Fowlerville

The 2006 wastewater treatment plant expansion and improvements project upgraded the stabilization lagoon facility to a mechanical oxidation ditch facility. This is a variation of the activated sludge process with a continuous flow closed loop biological reactor configuration.

A power screed is being used in this photograph. This machine uses a laser level to smooth the concrete to a particular elevation and can be set to a specific slope to form the surface of the concrete to promote drainage.

The Oxidation Ditch floors have been poured and are protected with insulation blankets. Clarifiers have had the Mud Mats poured and the first elevation pour of the Splitter Box is complete. Forms for the floor/footing of the Clarifiers are now in place and steel is being placed within the forms.
